A researcher known as 'Snake the Bigfoot Hunter' asserts that DNA analysis of alleged Bigfoot remains reveals a hybrid lineage of Neanderthal and human genetic material.

The enduring enigma surrounding Bigfoot may finally be resolved, according to Charles 'Snake' Stuart, a figure prominent in the search for the elusive creature. Despite facing accusations of perpetrating hoaxes and scams, Stuart remains steadfast in his assertions.
After reportedly discovering what he identifies as Bigfoot remains in the Adirondack Mountains in October 2024 and subsequently exhibiting the alleged body at the New York State Fair last year, Stuart now claims to have definitive DNA test results.
Skepticism and Counterclaims
Stuart's announcement of his intention to display the remains prompted immediate concern from veteran Bigfoot researchers. Matthew Moneymaker, representing the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, voiced strong reservations following Stuart's plans.
"A newcomer hoaxer/scammer going by the name Charles 'Snake' Stuart is claiming to have a bigfoot corpse that he will exhibit at New York State Fair in August 2025," Moneymaker posted on the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization's social media channels last July.
"No, he doesn't actually have bigfoot remains. It's just a cheesey fake dead bigfoot, perhaps a little bit better than Tom Biscardi's famous fake dead bigfoot."
Undeterred by such criticisms, Stuart proceeded with his efforts. He affectionately refers to the alleged 8-foot-tall, 300-pound specimen as "Dack." Stuart claims that DNA testing on Dack was conducted at Cornell University's Veterinary DNA Lab.
Alleged DNA Results and Future Plans
In a recent interview, Stuart conveyed that the purported DNA analysis from Cornell indicated that the body possesses "58.5% Neanderthal and 41.5% human DNA."
Stuart intends to share his purported groundbreaking discovery with as wide an audience as possible. He acknowledges that he will inevitably encounter those who doubt his findings, including individuals who dispute the authenticity of the well-known Patterson-Gimlin film.
However, Stuart dismisses such skepticism, stating that the Patterson-Gimlin film was "an obvious hoax." He contends that Bigfoot is not a great ape, as has been frequently suggested over the years, but rather a Neanderthal-Human hybrid, a conclusion he believes is substantiated by his claimed DNA results.
This assertion presents a pivotal question for the ongoing Bigfoot mystery: Does this represent a conclusive answer to decades of speculation, or is it merely another chapter in the long history of Bigfoot hoaxes?
